The thing I'm currently really weird about is being at work and having a coworker sitting next to me and chewing on ice or eating something crunchy like a carrot. I really don't want to hear something that sounds like a person chewing on rocks while I'm trying to work.

Okay, I'm copying from another...but these things drive me crazy and I'm adding a few
People not covering their mouths when sneezing or coughing Bras & bra straps showing. If it is a t-back shirt, don't wear a regular strap bra!!!!!!!!! Smelly people People touching my stuff When people wear PJ's or slippers in public - get dressed! People without self-respect Women who do not wash their hands after going to the bathroom! Smokers right outside door of an establishment! We have to hold our breath to go in or out.
The volume on the tv has to either be at the 5's,or even numbers. So if it's at 15 and I need to raise the volume,it has to be set at either 18,20,22...but not 24...it then has to be 25.
I do the food can't be touching thing too.Certain foods are ok,but I am the one who determines that.
My hands and feet cannot feel overly dry.I have about 10-15 bottles of lotion scattered throughout the house and my car...and if my hands feel dry,I have to put lotion on.Been that way since I can remember.
I will not eat foods that squeak against my teeth. That noise and feeling makes me grit my teeth.

I am weird about macaroni and cheese that is overstirred. I don't like the texture if it is all mushed up and will just pass on it if someone overstirs it. I also can't stand to see people eat pasta if it has no sauce on it. Grosses me out!

I have become the same way. I hate cooking in a dirty kitchen! Drives me bonkers. Clutter is one thing. Dirty dishes are just unacceptable. :) I guess I didn't think of that as a "weird" thing, because my grandmother was the same way.

I'm weird about getting the best price on gas. I will drive an extra mile to get a penny off the per liter price. How corny. I probably use too much gas with this strategy. But I am tickled when I get the best price. hahahahhahahaha
OMG! I haven't been on an escalator for YEARS, but when I have been, I'm the same...HAS to be right foot first. One of my favorite scenes in "Elf" is his first encounter with the escalator...

Had to LOL at GlitterFairy as I'm "weird" about the T.P., too. My DH puts it on with the roll under. If I find it that way, I HAVE to change it immediately. I don't get uber upset, but it's just a thing. Is it a guy thing...the under?
I'm also "weird" about stairs and escalators. I always have to start out on my right foot. If I start with the left, I feel off-balance.

when traveling, I do not want my dirty clothes touching my clean clothes in my suitcase. I either do laundry while I'm on the road, double bag the dirty clothes, or wash EVERYTHING when I get home.

No food touching. Clean feet. (It makes me cringe to see children walking in the street barefoot!!! Gag!) Nobody but me or my husband has ever slept in my bed. That would freak me out and I'd have to buy a new one. I don't share my bathtub with anyone! Nobody sits in my spot on the sofa. I flush all toilets, except mine at home, with my foot. I open doors, push shopping carts, and touch common items with my sleeves pulled over my hands or using a tissue. I won't let anything that can transfer germs directly touch the table at a resturant. I'm a major germ freak and have issues with contamination. I also don't like to sweat unless it's planned and I shower a minimum of three times a day during the summer. Yup, major OCD issues! My closet is my favorite room in the house. That level of organization brings me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Ha ha

I hate the feeling of my feet being dirty. I never walk around my house barefoot- I have a pair of moccasins that I wear only when my feet are clean. If I wear a different pair of shoes out, the first thing I'll do when I get home is wash my feet and put on my clean feet slippers. I'm also weird about my bed. I will change into clean clothes before sitting on or getting into my bed, and I hate when people sit on my bed when they've worn their clothes out and about, like out running errands or if we'd gone out to eat beforehand. It drives my mom absolutely insane. She calls me a selective germaphobe.

I am weird about how i put the silverware in the dish washer. The large spoons must be with the large spoons, small spoons seperated, as well as the forks, knives...etc..... call me OCD
What AM I weird about? Definitely about the toilet paper. HAS to be over the top. If my kids put it on "wrong", I actually get UPSET about it. How stupid is that? I remember a time when they wouldn't even replace the potty paper! Hahaha! I get nervous when someone is in the kitchen when I'm cooking. It is really taking a LOT for me to let my 10.5 year old daughter help me more. My grandmother was the main one to cook when we were younger.(She lived with us from the time I was 6 until I was 21, when she moved with one of my aunts.) I didn't get to help much, so I didn't learn as much as I probably should have. My kids' father taught me how to cook, and now I'm a better cook than he is. Too many chefs spoil the pot or whatever that saying is. BUT...I want my baby to be well -prepared when she ventures out on her own, and it would be great if she could put her love of smelling things to use in the kitchen. She's super creative as it is, and I bet it would carry well into a restaurant, if that's a dream of hers. I have to get over my weirdness about doing things MYSELF in the kitchen.
I am weird about how I sort laundry. I appreciate when my mother helps. I REALLY do, but I have a "way" of doing it. It's best I don't know when she's helping so I don't go all twitchy.
I also put my board games up nicely but would not consider that "weird" who wants to grab the game the next time to a mess, that makes grabbing a game no fun and most likely you will not grab it and play it as much because you have to hunt for pieces and it takes more time to set up. Plus, the insures no lost pieces and the game will last a lot longer, possibly forever because it was well kept. Now on the flip side my pet peeve is grabbing a game and seeing that the kids did not put it away nice and neat. Because my kids have doen that more then once some games are off limits unless I am around due to their laziness.
My weird quirk has to do with bottled beverages, I have to have the first drink out of it. I share beverages with hubby often and for some odd reason I think the very first sip is best. He opens it and hands it to me,I don't even take a big drink just a very small little taste ,then I hand it back to him,my next sip is larger.
I can see already there is a fine line between "Pet Peeves" and things that people are "weird" about, to me, they are different. A Pet Peeve is something that annoys me about others and being "weird" about something are things that I do that I RECOGNIZE being weird or a pet peeve about my own self.
KJ - I have a little of that OCD going on too.....I always put things back exactly the way they were when I got them out---doing anything less makes me nervous, for some reason. My hubby thinks it's weird that I actually keep the instruction manuals for the things we buy.
My son was a "no food toucher" too. The first time I ever served him beef stew he cried until I took it away and separated the potatoes, meat and carrots from each other on a sectioned plate. He ate off that plate until he was 5 years old or so.
I've always disliked being touched if I'm not expecting it. If someone tries to hug me when they first meet me, I have to restrain myself from throwing out my arms to stop them. Several people have come up behind me when I'm at my desk, starting talking to me, and laid a hand on my shoulder.....made me want to roll my chair out of their arm's reach. I can feel myself stiffen, and it doesn't go away until some time after the person is gone. My family has never been big on physical displays, so I'm not completely surprised.

I absolutely HATE the sound of crayons coloring on rough paper. Printer paper is fine, but the rough paper that comes in coloring books is gross. The sound of the crayons coloring on that paper makes me want to run away screaming. My daughter knows this and won't color on that paper, even if I'm not with her. LOL.
I also hate the feeling of my fingernails scratching on car paint. If I touch it the wrong way, I have to scratch my nails on something else (jeans, car seat, etc) until the feeling goes away.
I may not always make my bed in the morning, but I have to make it before I get in it at night. All of the sheets and blankets have to be straightened, pillows fluffed, etc. My husband thinks its hysterical.
My little girl cannot stand hair unless it is attached to someone (person, dog, etc). This also applies to doll hair. If there is a hair on her shirt, she gags.
For me it is the newspaper. I have to read it in order, cannot jump around from section to section. My family would leave the paper alone for me to read first or so I thought. Found out that my oldest DD would read it while I was at work and then put it back together so it looked just like it did when delivered.
My grandfather did the no food touching. He would eat his food one thing at a time, put the meat on his plate, eat it, put the potatoes on his plate, eat it, put a vegetable on his plate, eat it.
1/21/13 9:35 A
I'm not okay with certain foods touching each other or the juice from certain foods touching my other food. For example, I'm okay with juice from a steak touching a potato, but I'm not okay with juice from any vegetable touching my steak, etc. I won't touch raw meat without gloves.
I'm weird about my games that I own. We played this past Saturday night and anytime we were done with a game but before we'd bust out another one I'd put the game back together pretty much the same way it came when I bought it, I keep the original plastic bags and put the pieces back in it and make sure the lid and the back are matched up....I was called weird, lol.
I'm kinda weird about lifting weights, too. When using the barbell I have to put the plates on in a certain way or I feel strange when I start to lift. Dumbbells, too. When I'm done with them not do I have to put them back where I got them but the one that was on the ;left has to be put BACK on the left....hahahahahahaha.
I'm also weird about turning around; if I turn around to go somewhere or turn to talk to someone if I turned to the left I have to turn back that same way that is if I have to turn. Same with the right.
Some folks are weird about their food touching each other and what way the toilet paper roll goes and what they wear on "game" day of their favorite sports team.
