Prepared a nice dinner, chose to be alone and avoided a lot of food etc. I didn't want to consume....quiet evening. Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Made a low sugar key lime cheesecake for husband, some deviled eggs for later on. Perhaps a little fooling around later on, and bed before midnight, unless the idiots that make noise wake us up.

Mine is just over - it is 01.25 on 1 jan 2013 here. I have just got back from a gathering of about 40 people organised by a friend from Japan. We had bonenkai rather than New Year - a Japanese tradition of throwing away the bad things from the old year that does not necessarily happen on 31 Jan but she held it this year on that date. It was wonderful to learn about other's traditions.
She combined it with a pasta party - we all made and kneaded pasta dough and used her very old manual pasta machine to roll out pasta and then boiled it. Everyone brought different sauces. A lovely way to end an old year and bring in a new one.

Just a quiet night at home, doing some reading and watching tv; will probably fall asleep before midnight. I had chemo today so I am taking it easy tonight and tomorrow.

It will be a quiet night for us since my husband's still recuperating from the 'flu.

We'll have a light but luscious dinner and retire to the living room with lots of good music and a stack of books. And, of course, the cat to keep us amused. :)

We are staying in. We've got a smoked Boston butt with some fixings so I've eaten pretty light today in anticipation of going over a bit at dinner with calories. We are going to watch Downton Abbey on HuluPlus and probably be alseep by midnight.

I agree with you DIDS70...I do nothing on New Years Eve, and nothing is what I will do tonight. Besides, it is cold, rainy, and dreary outside. I will watch a bit of end-of-the-year tv, watch the ball drop, wish myself a Happy Healthy 2013...then go to bed.

I will be at home with my 2 cats as usual. This is the one year I thought I would be able to join my fellow church members bringing in the new year at the annual New Years Eve Party at our church. They are not doing it this year.

Oh well, me and my cats will probably be asleep when the new year comes in. LOL

Happy New Year to all Sparkers.

I am watching my grand son that is one year old over night while Mommy and Daddy go to a friend's house where it snows out of town. Hubby, I, and my teenage daughter and grandson will go to my Mom's for a family gathering tonight.. I will be home before 9. I do not want be out on such a big night of partying. Home safe and sound is my New Years plan from here on out.
