I used to crave chocolate like crazy. The more I ate the more I wanted. I just controlled it. (but not sometimes) I had it down to a science also. I knew M&Ms would satisfy my cravings and low intense chocolate like milk chocolate or Ores would make me crave more. When the really dark chocolate came out my doctor had me eating that to reduce Cholesterol. After eating it for a year or two, I stopped craving it. Now I crave it sometimes and a little dark chocolate will satisfy and make the craving go away.

My doctor said, "I want you to eat Salmon, almonds, garlic, dark chocolate and red wine." I said I think I can do that! emoticon (all my favs) Be careful about portions if you decide to try it. It is not necessarily a weight loss plan!

That would be hard. Now my kids are out of the house it helps me to only have healthy snacks available, but I am still bad at night after I have gone over my total for the day, I will still eat. Can you try putting them all in one place? I used to deliver snacks to my teen son's room and tell him to keep them in there. BTW I am in Durango too!

I work, so I pretty much plan my food for the day ahead. I can enter the food a day ahead after I plan to see if my plan is on track. Otherwise, I have been trying to do it before dinner, so I see where I am for the day before I go crazy with the evening binge. Having it in front of me seems to help. Before joining, I was eating in the evening and hoping I hadn't over eaten. Now I know, one way or the other.

Oh yes...I forgot about that one. Sometimes I realize its been and entire day and all I have tracked is breakfast! (I am pretty good about STARTING the day off tracking...its the rest of the day...)

Mindlessly, eating too many carbs when I am tired. I had a nasty case of Jet Lag this week. I polished off an entire box of girl scout cookes before I knew what I was doing!

I seem to have it under control during the day. but.. the night time snacking adds up to all the calories I ate during the whole day!! I've tried turning the kitchen light off after dinner as a reminder that eating is over. will see how that goes :)

I became aware of one yesterday - free food! I was getting a coffee late in the evening after a meeting at SB and they offered me a free pumpkin scone. Something in my thoughts just can't turn down free food. Well, awareness is the first step!
