I'm 68 and am down 36 lbs. from my heaviest; 24 lbs. since joining SP in January. I've joined several teams, mostly geographical (I'm in Canada), plus slowest loser, and have found that many have similar goals... 8 or more glasses of water, 5 or more fruits and vegetables, exercising 3 or more days/week. I've also set some goals of my own such as reducing my sodium intake and having meatless meals 1 or more days/week. gail
I'm 62 and my goal is to be as fit as I possible can, since when I was a girl I was completely discouraged from being an athlete. My parents were sure if I ran down the road in the summer time I'd have a heat stroke. They'd known of several children who died from working in the fields, so they had a real concern. But, they didn't let me do any sports. Today, I want to do for ME, what I can at this point in my life. I don't think anyone else will notice, but what I think is all that matters.
I was just wondering if our team has any goals, besides loosing weight and feeling better?? I don't want just to loose weight and feel better, I want to look better. What to do with my stomach and my bust, they get on my way!! Not to long ago I was thin and didn't have loose flab in my body,but I got sick in 2000, had an emergency surgery, and I was never able to get strong again. I have also had trouble with my thyroid, loosing and gaining weight like a yo-yo,it has not help at all. Help what can I do????
