when I was 18 and just out of high school...... I had an argument with my Mom...... she said you need to start applying for other jobs or go to college or business school you are NOT going to keep sitting around the house....... 2 days later I got a call about a job interview and I was offered the job in another state... didn't even know where it was I was going but she said I needed to get a job and I did..... she couldn't believe it when I told her... I stayed there a year and then transferred to a local office...... now 37 years later I just retired from a very good secure job with benefits that I may not have taken if we hadn't argued because I didn't even know where it was..... we just had my retirement party last Sunday and lots of my co-workers and former co-workers came out to honor me........ I love my Mom!

Everything about my Mother is a wonderful memory. She is the sweetest of ladies, but with a little sass. I do remember specifically though when she took care of me for six weeks after I had surgery

My mom passed away when I was 7 so I unfortunately have too few memories of her.

What I do remember is she wore channel no. 5 and she had strawberry blond hair that she wore in a sort of beehive hair style.

She always wore skirts or dresses and wore an apron when she worked in the kitchen.

She made the best russian tea cakes ever.

It was amazing how many people could fit into a station wagon!

One of many favorite memories of my mom was staying up till 3:00 in the morning putting a puzzle together, watching an old movie on tv and just talking. Probably one of the best one-on-one moments we ever had.

emoticon Mine was when Mom would take me, My Younger Brothers (2) and Sister (1) and our 4 Cousins on "Mini Vacations". It was a One Day Trip to a Museum, Zoo, or some other location like Arbuckle Wilderness, or Carlsbad Caverns.
emoticon We all piled in to our Station Wagon and ate sandwiches in the car on the way to wherever we were going. I STILL LOVE cold Hot Dogs wrapped in a slice of bread!!
