So, I've dieted a thousand times before but this is the first time I am using Sparkpeople, and I am also using Spark Coach. Today Spark Coach asked me what I have learned, and I realized that this time I really am learning. The biggest thing I learned is how little food my body really needs to function within my alloted calories, compared to what I was eating before. As a diabetic, I always tried to eat every few hours....but it looks like I was eating a complete meal every few hours! No wonder I gained so much wait! Now that I'm tracking calories, I am still amazed at how great I feel with so much less food!!! Yeah! Getting smarter, one step at a time.
