I love most fiction, but suspense is my favorite.

Mysteries/detective thrillers, first and foremost. I also enjoy a spattering here and there with classic literature/authors, philosophy, religion, non-fiction. As a result, I usually have two books going at one time - one mystery (that I call mind candy) and one more difficult book that makes me think much harder!!! :-)

I have always loved the Laura Ingalls Wilder series or any other of that type of book.

I also like funny animal stories or animal hero stories.

I also like auto-biographies.

My favs since I was a kid and/or young adult have been: the Laura books, The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, A Wrinkle In Time, and the Minds of Billy Milligan.

History written by those who lived it. I don't like revisionist history except to use as a counter on the real truth.

I love Stephen King (so whatever you classify that!)

I like some humor with the story, but not flat out 'humor books'. One my favorite authors is funny as heck, but his books are kind of political/crime type stuff.

I also like true crime.

I love to read a good thriller/mystery that keeps me guessing. I also enjoy Victorian literature as a whole.
