My favorite "healthy" treats from Trader Joes:

-Grilled balsamic vinegar and rosemary chicken breasts!! YUM! The lemon ones look good too, but haven't tried them yet. So easy to just chop up and throw in a salad or just eat as is.

-Chicken Tikka Masala frozen meal. 300 calories of DELICIOUS!!

Not-so-Healthy Favorite treats:

-COOKIE BUTTER!!! I just eat it right out of the jar. Luckily, my husband discovered he loves it too, so he usually eats most of it before I have a chance to. Whew!

-Dark Chocolate Sea Salt fudge brownies! OMG so good. They probably aren't toooo bad (dark chocolate is good for you!) if eaten in moderation. Unfortunately, willpower is nonexistent with these little morsels around! (Good thing my hubby and daughter love them too! Less for me!)

I have been to one, not one inmy town or anywhere I travel to regularly. Maybe I`ll look for one next time I`m in KC. I hear really good things about them.

Oooh yes, Julez is right, the spicy chicken sausages are great! I've also tried the sweet italian, the roasted garlic, and a few other...all awesome. So many fun things you can make with them!

I moved away from Trader Joe's last May, to an area without one (well they're building one about 30 minutes away but it's not done yet). But my #1 favorite thing from Trader Joe's was their spicy italian chicken sausages. They used to be a staple for me to mix in with pasta, eat like a hot dog, or just eat plain. I loved them because they were pre-cooked so they only needed to be browned.

I also really liked their whole grain pastas that come in a bag, their breaded chicken tenders that were frozen, and their "no guilt" frozen meals.

When I lived near Trader Joe's I was working full time and going to school at night, so these convenience foods really made it easy for me to stay in my calorie ranges while being simple to prepare. These days I do more scratch cooking but I still can't WAIT for Trader Joe's to be built!

LOL- all it takes is for someone to tell me something is good and then I HAVE to try it. Trader Joes here I come!

Back to the original question- What's your favorite Trader Joe's treat?

TJ's has this stuff called Egg White Salad. It's like a egg salad minus the yolks. Comes in "chive" or "spicy ranchero".....sooo delicious on crackers! The whole container is only 100 calories and high in protein!

And the last time I was there I bought some soft tortillas that are only 60 calories each.

The Ezekiel tortillas are really good too! They are huge and only 130 calories each.

By the spoonful. Yes, you probably will eat the whole jar. I did. I would not waste it by putting it on other foods.

It makes some people feel better when they eat it with fruit. Spoonful is best.

Tammy, I saw the cookie butter at Trader Joe's the last time I was there. It looked sooo good. I almost bought it, but feared I would sit down and eat the whole jar.
How do you eat it? On crackers? Bread? Cookies?

So many good things! I especially love their sea salt pita chips with hummus, and their chocolate covered pomegranate seeds.

I adore their Cookie Butter. I have named it Satan Butter. I do not eat it anymore. Same stats as peanut butter.

What are some of your favorite finds from Trader Joe's that won't break the calorie bank? I use their air popped popcorn to make the SparkPeople caramel popcorn recipe. Yum! Love their Mediterranean hummus, and the Mandarin orange chicken.
