As I told my nurse yesterday, it is not time that is stopping me or lack of motivation. I have plenty of that. It is just me. I stop myself. So she challenged me to workout when I got home before i did anything else.
I succeeded. And as she had promised I felt that I really accomplished something.

I had told her that I made every excuse under the sun. She then asked me what would stop me from exercising when I got home-- I simply told her Death.

Schedule for right knee replacement surgery on August 19. Until then can't do any weight bearing exercises on my knee due to pain. Am working on upper body to maintain strength which will help with recovery.

rheumatoid arthritis. A lot of exercises I just can't do, even if I'm feeling great, because the next day I will regret it in a big way.

I can't do things like push-ups or anything else that puts weight on my wrists.

the weather. I like to walk outside in the summer. I don't mind the treadmill, in the winter but I am not keen in the summer as I get too hot.

I'm always lazy when it comes to the exercise, but when I've done it, I feel so good! So, it's worth making myself exercise even if at first I don't feel like it!

The best part is the cold drink & the cold shower afterwards!

Same here with workout consistency. I had a lot of excuse when I used to workout at the gym...the drive is too long, I don't have enough time. I now do home workouts and it's great!
Do you workout at the gym or from home?

Mine is definitely exercise. I don't always eat perfect but I do better with the eating than with the exercising!!

Exercise consistency.

But it has been awesome since joining SP in March. So hoping that when it gets cold again in Michigan that I don't revert to my old ways!

What is your biggest challenge in achieving your fitness goals?

My biggest challenge was portion control and over eating. My fix is a food scale and pre-portioning everything I eat. If I'm still hungry, drink lots of water.
