Bad carbs are the highly processed foods that have had a lot of the nutritional value removed.
Good carbs are higher in nutrients, which, other than being good for you generally, will satisfy your hunger more. If you're eating bad carbs, it's kind of empty calories that leaves your body still craving nutrients.

I consider the "whites" the bad carbs...white rice, white pasta, white bread, white flour.
I stick to good carbs which usually involve whole grains...brown rice, wheat pasta, whole grain breads, quinoa, etc.
