Another idea is to take an average of your calorie intake at the end of the week. If your average is within your calorie range, then that's more important than whether or not you went over one or two days that week, since what we do over time is much more important than what happens one day. It's what we do consistently that really matters; we all have days where we go over every so often. One way to keep your weekly average in check is to try to eat at the lower end of your range for a couple days to make up for going over one day.

That is not the end of the world. Unfortunately, we all do that on occasion. Just get back to your healthy eating and stay within your calorie range.

As bad as this can often feel, I think the important thing to do is to forgive yourself and move on. One day of "bad eating" isn't really going to change anything in the long run. But, days of dwelling on it or stressing out about it can eat at your motivation and your spirit. And, that kind of thing can impact you in the long run. So, move forward and make positive changes (starting right now).

It's okay. Tomorrow is a brand new day! You can do this; just don't let one day throw you completely off track.
