When traveling I try to fit in a morning workout to burn some calories, plus I find it is easier to manage my breakfast (fruit & yogurt or oatmeal) and lunch (soup & salad, kids meal) calories, so that I can splurge a bit on dinner. Actually, I do the same thing at home if I know I'll be going out to dinner.

As a pp said - it is one meal on one day, don't beat yourself up. Workout a little longer tomorrow and start over making healthy choices.

Thanks for your encouragement. I really appreciated your words of wisdom. Ate my dinner at a chinese restaurant last evening and I showed more restraint. Like everyone else, old routines are part of my problem. I made better choices last evening and even though I came close I didn't go over my calories.

First, it was one meal-acknowledge i and move on, right back on track!
Next time plan ahead, maybe eat something before you go, enlist a friend to share food with you, suggest a place with healthy choices!!

I knew this would happen. I told myself just one meal wouldn't hurt, but it was that onion blossom that did me in and I had done so well the 6 days before. One of my biggest enemies seems to be that I am so busy and this gets in the way of sticking to my meal plan. How do you stay loyal to your meal plan when you are traveling to work?
