I am in same boat....was so good from Jan-Apr last year then slowly gained weight back, then some. Work stress was crazy and I reached for my old comfort of food. What I should have done is stayed on here for support - honestly this plan gave me so much energy. But I didn't - thought I trained myself. You know what, I am back and so are you! It feels good! I am going to stay on here and on busy days use the app. You should be patting yourself on the back! This site encourages a healthy lifestyle and a thinner body is just one outcome. It is truly a lifestyle.

this is my third time coming to this site...my first time was March 19th 2012 and that helped me lose 23 pounds in three months then I decided to try it again, but didn't see any results that time and decided to quit NOW I am back for the last and final time I will lose this 100 pounds in a year if I have to kick myself several times doing it....We all fall off the wagon at one point, its getting back up and pushing forward that counts :) We can all do this :) We stress out, are afraid to eat due to the scale (I know I am) but this is what we need to do...to feel better about ourselves and look and feel attractive again :)

You are here now. That's all that matters. Every day, every hour, even every minute can be a fresh start.
"I feel ashamed and overwhelmed. I just wish I could stick to it and quit failing myself." What would you tell your friend if this happened to her, Would you want her to feel ashamed? Tell her that she failed herself? Be kind to yourself, just like a friend who you love. What is done is done. There is no value in beating yourself over it.
If this is a continuing pattern, there certainly is value in getting to the reasons behind it. Are you afraid that once you succeed, you can't keep up with it? Do you believe you don't deserve to be healthy and fit? Are you too rigid and feeling too deprived for your plan to be sustainable? Only you know what is behind it. Perhaps you could discuss this with someone.
Stop listening to that voice in your head that is telling you to be ashamed or don't belong here. You took a big step just by posting for feelings. Congratulate yourself and think about what other healthy choices you can make today.

Welcome back ! You have NOT failed yourself. I'm going to give you one piece of advice that I give to all new members and those looking for motivation and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
As the old song goes,"Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". Give yourself credit for the POSITIVE things you do for yourself and don't beat yourself up because you're not perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be healthy.
Take baby steps literally and figuratively. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Remember, one small change can change your life.
As the Coaches all say,"trust the process".

Welcome back! Just remember many of us have lived a life-time making poor choices, so it's going to take some time to learn new behaviors to develop new habits.
Remember, it's not how many times we fall that keep us from our goals, but how many times we fall never having the courage to get back up.

Hey there its been awhile. I went on a horrible bender. I for some reason just decided to stop exercising and start eating whatever I want and whenever I want. I don't know if it was the stress that comes with the holidays or if I was afraid I was going to succeed but it took a lot for me to bring myself to get back on this site. I feel ashamed and overwhelmed. I just wish I could stick to it and quit failing myself.
