Stretch marks are very common especially if you have gained weight or lost it very quickly. The good news is that they don't hurt and don't cause harm, and a LOT of people look on them as a 'badge of honour' - LOL!

Something I don't really hear or read much about so I thought I'd ask here. I have been losing weight and have noticed in my tummy/bellybutton area little red lines. At first I thought they were just marks from my clothing but after a few weeks (im slow to catch on apparently lol) I actually saw them as "here to stay". I heard of people getting them gaining weight, during pregnancy, puberty but never heard anyone say they got them losing weight.

I'm starting to wonder how common this is?

I know people talk and complain about loose skin so ..hmm..

I also wonder if all these before/after pics (like on biggest loser) show before shots of girls/guys in a sports bra or no T-shirt and then The after shots they have a shirt on (this has ALWAYS confused me haha)...I wonder, is it because of all the loose skin/stretch marks?

Weightloss' dirty little secret, so to speak??

I know it's all superficial and at the end of the day it's your HEALTH that's the #1 factor but is it wrong of me to be so vain/curious?

Your thoughts?feedback?
