Hi I am new to sparks. After taking care of everyone else, i decided to start taking care of myself. So I am having surgery on Friday Sept. 27th. I am nervous and worried. I am having trouble finding things that I can drink. I can use anything that has sucralose, aspartame, they give me migraines. Can you recommend anything. I have found Unjury, drinking there chicken soup now. It is not bad, and it has 21gr of protein for 8oz. But store bought drinks have artificial sweeteners. I have only found one that I can drink, and that is Evolve. I have to go onto clear liquids next week. help thanks Paula

Hi and welcome!! There is a board called Gastric Bypass Sparklers for this who have had or are considering weight loss surgery. I had my RNY on April 9, 2012 and it's the best thing I ever did for myself.

Hi,

My name is Amy and I am not new to SPARKPEOPLE by any means, I have used this site for years a a tool. After years of trying to lose weight, and too many unsuccessful outcomes- and after consulting many doctors and going through a comprehensive screening program I was approved for the sleeve gastrectomy procedure. I had the procedure 17 days ago. Once I am past the liquid portion of the diet I plan to use SPARKPEOPLE again as my main form of journaling and tracking.

My question is, are there any message boards to join that are weight loss surgery patient centered for those post op and those pre op or for those just interested in learning more about it?

Amy
