I weigh myself in the morning before I eat or drink anything for the day. Typically I weigh myself Saturday mornings, but if I can stand it I will skip a week. I can be one that finds the scale discouraging at times. I know that I am going to weigh a little bit more if I did strength training the day before, or it's that time of the month. Even though I know that it's just because I am retaining water and not actual fat I still don't like it one bit!
I was glued to the scale when I first started, but I honestly think it's much healthier for me personally not to focus on it too much. Whatever works for you should be good though!

I think the most important thing is to be consistent, whether you weigh yourself daily or weekly, do it at the same time and track it. I find I can get frustrated when I weigh myself daily and I enjoy the anticipation of stepping on the scale after a week.
The body can naturally fluctuate from day to day by several pounds, due to changes in your hydration levels, regardless of whether you are burning or gaining fat.
Some people find that daily weigh-ins help keep them accountable to themselves for their eating and exercise decisions.
Others find the inevitable increases that daily weigh-ins and natural fluctuations imply to be very frustrating and demotivating, and that weighing in weekly (or even less frequently) helps them see the longer term trend rather than the shorter term 'noise'.
It really depends on how you think YOU are likely to react to seeing the occasional increase in the scale.

I try to do it only once a week- always in the morning after I've used the bathroom and before eating or drinking anything.

Every morning, after I use the restroom and before eating any food/water, I step on the scale only in my briefs. I track it on a spreadsheet that calculates the weekly average, minimum, and maximum, and go by the average for how I am doing over time.
Others on the board commonly will just weigh once weekly at the same time and day of the week.

Hello! When should you weigh yourself? I mean once a week, every other week, once a month? I just ask because I want to know how the things I am doing is working? I don't want to do something for weeks that may not be working for me. Also what is the best time of day to weigh your self on the day you do it?
I already know when I work out and all I feel so much better .
Sorry if this is something that has been answered somewhere else, I am new here and have not found it yet!
