Although I fully agree with OPUSEVA that the "You must have 8 glasses of water daily" is nonsense, I do find that I personally am less likely to make stupid food choices if I drink water (and I also tend to grab a Diet Coke in the morning and forget to drink anything else while I'm at work).
Soooo, what I do is fill a 16-ounce glass of water every morning and drink that while I get ready for work, then fill a 64-ounce bottle here at work. If it's there on my desk, I'll drink it.

I'm a true sucker for hot tea - herbal, green, white, oolong, you name it. When I'm out and about I always have with me a 16oz thermos which I use for tea. I have no problem getting in my 8 cups a day

Seltzer; I used to crave a beer after yard work or even working out but I now just have a can of seltzer. I have come to prefer it to beer or soda. I also drink plain water. I used to have trouble getting it down but have discovered that sometimes when I want something to eat or drink and I don't know what I want, If I drink a glass of water it satisfies my craving.
Great work! I know a lot of people who use this method. Some have even gone as far as using colored bottles to help them. For example, green in the morning, pink in the afternoon, and blue in the evening. You keep up the great work MELJONES3478!

I have to make myself drink it by a certain time. For example I have to finish my 1st bottle by 9:00am...2nd bottle by lunch time...etc.

Since that is about 4 water bottles or 4 big glasses of water I typically do this: coffee or a bottle of water with a crystal light energy packet in it then I will have a cup of green tea, then another crystal light energy packet with water at lunch, and then regular water once I get home with dinner.
