i am the announcer for all the horse shows in my area. it was close to 100 yesterday..and not much better predicted for today and tomorrow. i have a cooler FULL of ice and soda bottles with screw caps filled with my good well water (where i'm going they only have chlorinated, and i have this thing about BUYING water when i have such a wonderful well!!) so i rinsed out the fresca bottles and i'm good to go!!

I keep a bottle of water with me too. One at work, gym, and at home and fill them up the minute they are empty.

I keep a water bottle with me. If it's in front of me, I'll drink it absently without really noticing. If I do this while I'm in class, I'll be halfway through my water for the day by lunch!

I always have a Nalgene full of water with me at work, I always drink what I brought from home and fill it up another 1-2 times during the day

I have a chipotle black bean burger for lunch, not too much spice but enough to make me drink water with my meal.

Eat something spicy once a day. Dump some hotsauce on your leftovers. You will guzzle that water, trust me!

You don't have to eat the whole thing.

I find it really easy to just have a bigger sized glass. You know how they've always said bigger plates make you eat more? I think this definitely applies to drinking too. I'm not talking a huge water bottle or anything just a glass that holds like 24 ounces. I find that my water intake is upped so much when I pull these glasses out of our cabinets. Hope that helps!

six to eight ounces a day? most experts recommend 8 eight ounce glasses per day. thats 8 cups---not really alot when you think about it.
replace 2 cups of coffee and a 16 oz bottle of water and you have half your daily allotment.

How much water and what counts? My doctor informed me at my last visit that 6 - 8 glasses (8 oz each) per day will suffice unless I am exercising heavily - which I do. I sweat buckets. And also that any form of liquid counts. Keeping in mind that there is water content in the foods you eat as well.

depends who you talk to...some say tea can count i dont agree,,,its a diruetic. my doc says water only counts as water..with no additives. but check with yours and go with what he/she says!

Great idea on how to make sure you get enough water. I don't drink soda but I drink alot of iced or hot tea. Love tea so I think if I can convert my tea consumption into water I might get it taken care of - but will be hard. My drinks have to be ice cold too. Thanks for your input

i fill a 74 ounce mug with ice and water. I have a great well with wonderful tasting water, but if i didnt i would buy bottled water. when my mug is empty i know i'm done for the day.
others fill a pitcher and put it in the fridge. they pour a glass whenever they think of it, until the pitcher is gone.
for me, it has to be ice cold, and i've come to love it..i drink nothing else unless its some tea in the winter or a rare treat of a diet soda, maybe once a week.

My biggest issues is getting the water intake down. I have the hardest time with that so any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
