Thank you so much for the quick reply. This blog is going to be very helpful. I guess I was afraid to drink too much water. I didn't want to drink the tea, then try and figure out if I was drinking too much water if I put 70 ounces on top of the tea. I have always drank about 80 ounces of water a day, so drinking 70 will be no problem.

That's your choice. Anything that hydrates your body can be counted. Some people prefer to count only non-calorie beverages. Others count only water without additives. Any of the above is fine. The SP experts state anything you drink can count.

I personally count only zero-calorie beverages, and still aim for at least 8 glasses of real water without any additives.

I am starting the plan on Thursday and have already purchased everything I will need. I am very excited to start and realized I have a question about the water. Do we count the dandelion tea in the mornings as part of our water or is it in addition to?
