Ok, so it seems that I can't pull off a long term fasting just yet, so I've been fasting for 48-60 hours, and eating after that, not much food intake though. I did purchase a bottle of Ketostix and I test myself every day during the fasting periods, and it appears that my body is burning fat during those days. I will do this intermitten fasting for a few weeks then attempt to do it for a longer period of time.
For any of you out there that are trying to fast, just one day at a time, it is difficult to change your eating habits, but if you take little steps you will acchieve it. Just be patient with yourself, and take it slow.
Since I started last Monday, I have lost 8 pounds, not bad for a week, and I did eat.
