I know that feeling. I was there. That decision to make a lifelong change. It's scary. I was doubtful early on. I even had the "I'll get it sorted out, lose some weight, and then I can be 'normal' again"
I realized that wouldn't work. This is the new normal. And you know what? I'm completely OK with that. I eat well. I eat a lot. I don't feel like I'm shorted in any way.
And I feel great.
You will too. Enjoy the journey. Relish the success. It's the best I've felt mentally or physically in a quarter of a century.
Welcome back It can be really hard coming back again to start over so well done on taking that big step. Its not easy.
There are so many resources here to help you on your journey so use them all and keep posting.

Hi everyone. I cannot say that I am new to SP. However, I have hit my rock bottom and am here to make a real committment to myself and hopefully achieving a life of good health, physical and emotional wellness with my body, and a life of balance. I was not always obese, but I have always had body image issues. Now at 340 pounds I am ready to embark on this journey "for me." I finally understand that this is going to be a lifelong journey. I didn't gain the weight over night and it's not going to come off over night either. I just hope that I can have the support of all the wonderful people using this site who understands the struggles I am facing and can occassionally lend a kind word of motivation.
