I walk 5 days a week and love it. It is my main form of exercise. It might not be as glamorous as running but just as effective and a lot less painful.

As someone now missing most of a disk in my lower spine, I LOVE walking--it is great when you're recovering from surgery, or just trying to stay healthy!

I don't know why people always assume exercise equals running. You don't have to run to get fit & stay fit--you just have to MOVE! And walking is great low-impact high-benefit exercise!

Walking is great for you. I lost 32 lbs just by walking. But by that time you will have found something else to take over from it.

Recovering from vein surgery and the only exercise I can do is to plenty of tht today.
