I enjoy using Leslie Sansone videos too. They are easy enough to follow and I can stop or keep on to the end depending on how I feel that particular day.

I wonder if you've ever actually DONE one of her videos? I say this because they are deceivingly simple. My husband always made fun of me while I did them, until one day I challenged him to actually do the workout with me.

Hey Beesparkle! Wow! Had a question on Sansone CDs and everyone answered my question without me asking. I am new to Sparks and happy so far with site. Are you new to it and how are you doing?
I picked up 4 VHS tapes at a garage sale recently...because a friend of mine love her. I got 1, 2, 3 mile and toning. I have to use them on an old TV in the back bedroom, but that is even better. Love it.

I have Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds for Abs, on VHS. Love it. I also have a DVD with 5 work outs on it. I like her style. I also like Denise Austin. I have 20+ of her VHS tapes. I have worked out with Denise for 10+ years.

I am in relatively decent shape and LOVE the Leslie Sansone workouts. I own 7 dvd's and my fav are the 5 Fat Burning miles (that's 12 min per mile, walk 10 jog 2) so you do 5 miles in an hour and the 4 mile super challenge....for 25 mins you do intervals of 3 min brisk walk 2 min jog. I am covered in sweat and out of breath by the end. I love her workouts!!

I admittedly very out-of-shape so I am hoping that Leslie Sansone's videos will be an effective way to work out around my house and get back into shape. After I get into better shape I am hoping to find a way to go to the gym or yoga classes or something like that. I used to go to yoga classes a lot and I really do miss it.

I have few of Leslie's walking tapes ( Yep VHS!) I turn Pandora on to a station with a good beat and mute leslie and workout to the music. Her tapes are easy enough to follow w/o the sound, and its just more motivating with music-- nothing against leslie, I don't mind her on the tapes, this way is just funner.

I love Leslies WATP. I use her 2 mile walk twice a week. I need to change my routines or they get boring.

I have her walk away the pounds 3 Mile Power Walk and her 3mile express walk and 4 mile express walk. I did have her 5 Day Fit Walk but I think that I left the dvd in the dvd player when it broke and my husband got rid of it. This dvd had 5 different walks. I liked the kick boxing one. I plan to repurchase this dvd. I also have the Biggest Loser Power Walk. This one is a little bit different. I like it too when I want something a little bit different.
I bought Fast and Firm 4 big miles this weekend at Walmart and it included the resistance band for the workout. $10. I've been doing her DVD's now for about 3 weeks and haven't lost any weight, did it take you all a good while to start losing with this type of workout?
I haven't used my walk away the pounds for quite some time,I kind of get bored with them after a while, I have the 1-3 miles, is there differnt ones?

About calculating calorie burn for Leslie's 1-2-3 mile walks, go to your Fitness tracker and click on Add Cardio, then Other Exercises, then Browse. Right at the top of the list is Low-Impact Aerobic (including Walk Away the Pounds). Just click in your time and it will spit it right out!

I got started with the 1 mile walks. I am currently doing the 2 mile and looking forward to the 3 mile. I found Leslie on Exercise T.V. Yep, free through my cable provider. You can also order them online from Exercise T.V.'s website. Her workouts are easy for beginners and you don't have to be an exercise expert or a dancer. I especially like when she says; "It doesn't matter if you go left when I go right. Just keep moving". It is also easy if you have a busy schedule. I tend to work out in the evenings and would not want to go out to a gym at that time.
My weight loss and fitness journey began with Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds Easy One Mile Walk. I still do her DVDs (2 miles in the morning when I want an easier workout and 5 miles on weekends when I want a long workout). I'm doing Jillian Michaels now, but I still lose WATP.
I had some of her workouts - lent them to my sister. I have not got them back. Maybe it's time to chase her up for them!!!!

hello, Yes her dvds are GREEEATTT! I have her walk away the pounds up to 5 and arobics and even the joggging indoors, have any of you heard of this one or tried it? I seen it on dvd at walmart many yeas ago it was only $5.00 and I regret putting it back but good thing I did I found a 2 pack at half price book store for $7.00 and got a new walk away the pounds and jogging one for $7.00 you jog for awhile and kick you don't jog all the time and I was able to do that almost to the end was so easy. I wanted to tell you Ladies and Gntleman about it who love but has troule with heat or just can't jog for long or can't bcause health problems. I hope you all can find it and enjoy! I give it 2 thumbs up! I also like some of you been dong her dvds / vhs tapes off and on. Makes me so mad! I have a good time doing my excersies and something happens illnss, etc and I stop! No more, I am tired of it and will not do this any more. I got me some pretty blk /grey walking shoes with veloc so excited tp try them tomorrow. Look on amazon, half price, barns and noble is pricy, I am sure someone has it. Be safe and Good Night...
Hi! I have been a trainer and gym manager, now battle fibromyalgia. I have used Leslie off and on for years! It's a great workout for those in inclimate weather, for anyone with health issues, recovering from surgery, beginners, even those of us that work out all the time. I love her 4 & 5 mile walks. Yes, she can be a bit chatty, but I have watched her grow through the years and admmire what she is doing. :)
Her videos are a great alternative when I can't get outside to exercise and/or can't make it to the gym. She will give you quite a workout. Yay!

I agree that her workouts are great for people who have medical problems or are very overweight or just starting out. I have fibromyalgia and cant do alot of the more strenuous workouts but her workouts are great for me......
From what I gather alot of people who use Spark are trying to lose 60+ pounds some more than that and have not worked out in years are have medical conditions that would prevent them from engaging in more tedious activity so her workout are really good for those individuals, if you are more seasoned and have less weight to lose you should do something that challenges you, but for individuals with physical limitation and movement her workouts help to get you moving and keep you mobile and build strength in stages.
Personally, I don't find her walking videos to be much of a workout. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you are obese or very overweight and/or just starting a workout regimen and in bad shape.
Denise Austin is great as well has been helping people reach their goals for years as well, although I did not see any walk videos advertised as much. I am a Leslie fan, with having MD I can get a great workout without the effects of some other activities. Having MD is very hard but been blessed that I am still able to be very mobile despite the weight.
Leslie is a little "fake" but I keep watching her friends and I can get through the video. I like Denise Austin much better, but then she does all type of exercise and not just walking. Denise is 5'4" and 112# and the mother of 2 girls. She's 54 and is in great shape.

Have you joined the 5K walk for spring I believe it is called here on sparkpeople?
I am new and for my workouts I will be logging miles walked with the Walk away the Pounds series. Since I am beginning I am staring off with One Mile walk and working my way up. The workouts are fun and easy and easy on the joints. I need this especially since I have MD. I welcome any others who are interested in logging their walks.
