It's all about the music!!
A few months ago I did a blog post on great FREE songs available on Amazon. If you're looking for something new, there are a lot of amazing songs to add to your workout mix.
While some of the links don't work anymore (in my blogpost), You can still look up the songs and artists on Amazon or iTunes. Many of the songs are still free or at least worth checking out (like Redlight Kings "Built to Last"). Also loving "Blackout" by Breathe Carolina and that one's still free.
So, check out my list or go to Amazon and peruse for yourself. :o)

Hearing Damage by Thom York makes me want to run forever. It's the song that plays in New Moon when 1 of they show the characters running through the woods. Maybe it's the visual memory of the running, maybe it's the killer trance like beat to the song. Who knows! It pushes me though.

What I listen to when I'm running is sort of a weird sub section of my musical taste that I think reflects my inner diva. (Which I wasn't even sure I had until I started taking care of myself) A couple of my favorites are:
Eric Prydz - Call on Me JLo - Jenny From the Block (Don't judge!) Mya - Free LMFAO - Sexy and I know It
And pretty much anything by Beyonce is absolutely amazing.

I've been listening to these songs to motivate me while running because I'm getting back into the habit of running a few times a week.
Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks Gym Class Heroes - Stereo Hearts The Daylights - I Hope this Gets to You Breathe Carolina - Blackout Usher - More Teddybears - Rocket Scientist
I find that anything that has a really fast or upbeat pace is great for working out, personally, so I find that I listen to Raise Your Glass (P!nk) and Firework (Katy Perry) a lot. Any rock music is also really good- it takes my mind off the burn of my workout and makes it more enjoyable.

"We've Only Just Begun" by Run Kid Run. Awesome song to run to, and I've found myself singing along while running.

I really love "Best Thing I Never Had" by Beyonce right now - uplifting music and just fits well with my running pace - I can run 4 minutes listening to that and barely notice the time, even if I put it on repeat 5 times, so thats 20 minutes already gone!

I don't really have any certain motivating music. I like most anything with a real upbeat tempo. I have a lot of christian rap on my ipod. As well I enjoy all the soundtracks for 80s dance movies like Dirty Dancing and Footloose.

Switchfoot - Awakening Taio Cruz - Dynamite Sean Kingston - Fire Burning Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor Little Boots - Remedy Britney Spears - I Wanna Go Cafe Tacuba - Eo

Have you seen the Spark People mixes on Amazon's MP3 downloads? I downloaded the cardio mix the other day and I love it!
Lately these songs have been pushing me to GET IT IN at the gym!
Elton John I'm Still Standing ( The lyrics make me think about how far I've come and that I'm STILL STANDING)
Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid I'm still standing after all this time Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
Kanye West - The new Workout Plan ( the long version is my fave... "eat that salad, NO dessert! LOL)
Michael Jackson - P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing) ( I listen to it and fantasize about walking out to this song all thin and Pretty Young Thinged up at the EPIC birthday party I will be having for my birthday next year)
Cee-Lo Green F**K You (Its a little risqué but I sing it my head as F**K FAAATTTT... Cause this fat has got to go! LOL
Matthew Wilder - Break My Stride (This is my life theme song) Ain't nothin' gonna to break my stride Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no I got to keep on movin' Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride I'm running and I won't touch ground Oh-no, I got to keep on movin'
You can't listen to that song and NOT feel like you can conquer anything in the world... Good luck!
