This is a very difficult question because what spikes one person's blood sugar may have absolutely no effect on someone else. I know someone whose blood sugar is spiked after eating a white potato. However, I happen to know someone else who can eat potatoes and their blood sugar stays normal.
what other foods you eat with a particular food item also effects your blood sugar. eating a regular potato at by itself might spike your blood sugar. However, if you eat that potato with some chili (kidney beans) on top, the protein and fiber from the beans will keep the potato from spiking your sugar.
Some people are effected by orange juice, others aren't. This is a very subjective question because we're all very different.
