I have three children and eating healthier is easier because of them. When I cook for them I try to have fruits and veges with each meal. I teach them that the food should look like a rainbow and if it does not, then something is missing...For breakfast, I encourage fruit but at lunch and dinner both are offered. I steer clear of fruit juice. The actual fruit is better for you. Try frozen fruit, low fat yogurt in a blender with ice... great treat, low cal, and you will get that fruit too!
I keep frozen blueberries in my freezer at all times. Work great in oatmeal or cereal. I love bananas, but tend to eat too many. Oranges , apples and tangerines pack well in lunch and are great snacks.

I have fruit every morning with breakfast: 1/2 banana, raisins, orange juice. I have an apple with my lunch or as a snack. Sometimes I'll have 1 or 2 prunes as a snack. With pork I always serve 1/2 c. applesauce.
Track, track, track. The following are some of my favorite ways to sneak in more veggies.
celery with almond butter small apple, sectioned, with skin 5 baby carrots grapes grape tomatoes cuke slices small banana or half a large one
Add a cup of frozen mixed veggies to any canned soup Have hummus with raw broccoli, cauliflower, and anything that needs a little help Put nut butter on fruit for extra protein Add dried fruit to cereal, measured/weighed, of course
I always eat some fruit for breakfast, lunch, and an after work/before dinner snack. My favorites are apples, pomegranate, pineapple, strawberries, mangoes, oranges, tangerines, and grapes. I almost always eat fresh fruit as is, but I do occasionally make smoothies. Maybe try adding a small smoothie to your breakfast or having it as a snack.

I put a variety of fruit on my shopping list and make sure that it is ready to eat (washed, cut, packaged in 1 cup containers). I'm eating a cup of cantaloupe cubes (56 calories, 2 servings of fruit) while I'm posting.

I have a banana and raisins in my cereal. For snacks: mandarin orange in plain yogurt, grapes, granny smith apple, strawberries, pear.
My problem is - restraining myself from having six servings of fruit.

First of all I take my Juice Plus everyday..so I am covered if I can't squeeze it in..but I also put a banana in my protein drink for breakfast and try and bring an apple or orange with me for a snack during the day.

Thats easy, twice a day I have my Dymatize protein drink as a snack between meals, since my ISO-100 is 100% protein, I eat a banana with it in the mid morning snack, and an apple or Kiwi for my afternoon snack, that allows me to get two servings of fruit a day, and satisfies my carb requirement for my snack.
being hypothyroid, I shouldn't have more than 15 grams of fructose daily, so I usually have one piece of fruit in the morning either in a smoothie/shake or just eat it whole. Most of the time, I have a banana. it's tough in the summer months when fresh fruit is plentiful because I love fresh peaches, pears, cherries and melon.
I have grapefruit or orange juice for breakfast, & fruit on my cereal. Mid-morning snack is usually a piece of fruit. Often my "dessert" for dinner is a cup of strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries - what ever is on sale.

I have found not buying too much of any 1 friut helps. That way you don't get tired of 1 thing and lose interest in eating it. Mix it up, buy a couple apples, oranges, pears, bananas and berries if possible. Then switch up what you eat everyday. Dried fruits make a lovely addition to salads. Good luck!!

I always have fruit with my breakfast. I usually have another one as a snack with my greek yogurt. I try to add in my dinner menu at least twice a week, like apples with pork chops or pineapples with cottage cheese. Hope this helps. Good luck.

We women need max 4 a day..
1 to breakfast 1 to lunch and I opt for 2 to a bedtime dessert as the body is fasting 8 hours
It ain't good to use smoothies all the time- fruit, vegetable and bread carbs are needed through out the day to keep blood sugar stable- downing them all at once is over kill.. If I eat more than 2 peices in the evening- I never burn the carbs off I actually gain weight as am simply not doing the exercise to burn those natural simple carbs off no matter if the tracker says I need the food..
I love fruit!! Right now I've been eating a huge ruby grapefruit almost everyday. Also I also like dehydrated mango and strawberries without anything added to it, it's good and easy to bring to work or school. The clemetine mandarins are delicious right now. Good luck! I understand your trouble...I have the same problem adding veggies into my diet :)
Fruit is about what's seasonal for me. Peaches, nectarines, and berries in the spring and summertime, apples and pears in the fall, and lately I'm buying those big cartons of seedless clementines. Whenever I feel a little hungry between meals, I'll grab a piece of fruit to snack on. I pack at least two pieces of fruit to bring to work - one for my morning snack, and one to eat along with my lunch. I'll also have one or two over the course of the evening. Additionally, I use one whole banana in my morning protein smoothie.
Really, for me, fruit is one of the easiest things to fit in!
Is it because you don't like fruit? An apple and a string cheese stick is my favorite morning snack! Whole apples are much more satisfying than applesauce! How about some fruit in your cereal? Sliced strawberries, banana, berries are all good in cereal.
