I've only been here for about a week now. I am still finding it hard to drink the recommended amount of water.....I simply forget about it because I am not thirsty and I am not used to drinking that much of anything! Still trying.......

At least 8 cups/day, usually more but seldom less.

Personally, when I'm tracking my water, I track only water (adding only the juice of a lemon). However, I believe there are several people from the message boards that count Crystal Light.

I only use plain water in my daily count. However, to get you started, try having a glass of water and then one with crystal light. Alternating will get you going down the right path, and in future weeks, you can add more plain water and take away some of the flavored types.

Baby steps in the right direction will still get you started on your journey.

I'm with Nightskystar.... Your 8 is a minimum number. So if getting that 8 is a challenge, as it is for me, I do not count anything with an additive. Especially if it contains caffeine. In fact I'll take a serving away for any caffeinated drink, since caffeine is a dietetic.

I personally do not count ANYTHING with additives to my water goals, per my doc. Many do. Speak with your health care professional and ask their opinion--many say up to a certain number of cups is ok. again, mine is adamant about NOT using anything but plain water.
