Oh my goodness, vinegar combined with grapefruit juice and honey. That sounds absolutely revolting. My tongue-in-cheek thought is that I suppose it could lead to nausea/vomiting which would make you avoid food, which might lead to weight loss. Seriously, though, drinking this concoction won't help you to burn fat more effectively. It really, really won't.
Vinegar is good for somethings like ... cleaning funbgus off lawn furniture and mold off the deck; but can find less smelly ways to eliminate such things as helping you to replace potassium (its all vinegar is good for!) But one teaspoon and no more than a tablespoon in 4 ounces of water is sufficient! Vinegar can displace salt. But the body needs some and orange juice can be just as effective as vinegar at that and for the potassium.
(I know sometimes a person with a heart ailment can crave vinegar, but its generally seen in a child, and its very seldom seen in an adult... that of craving vinegar! lol But I did know this one gal whose son alway drank the juice from Dill pickles. He craved the potassium! I felt because of his bad diet and how he ate was why, he drank the jucie from the pickles, for the vinegar! It was probably also because he did not eat a well balanced diet. His mother could not afford it! So they did not wasted a thing and he drank the juice from the dill pickles! He also had a heart ailment.)
But if you want to lose weight, drinking grapefruit juice can help just as well as vinegar! Just drinking 4 ounces a day can help. It blocks the fat. But taking Alpha lipoic acid , one capsule a day, can also do just as well without the acid taste! It blocks fat from being absorbed.
What else can help a person lose weight ...by blocking fat, is taking adrenline. Its a natural hormone! Its in many weight loss formulas, which is a natural substance but can also be just as detrimental if overdone. One capsule a day can help a person lose weight. But it can also do harm to the heart if overdone. Adrenaline can dry out the skin of the whole body! ( Including the heart and lungs! ) (I learned that because my Dr put me on adrenaline! And I thought a good things to lose weight and increased it for a short term and did lose weight, but it also caused my skin to dry out and it set me up for a lung infection! And if you have a thyroid or other health issues can set you up for more harm to your body and the health of your body. It can affect the balance of yoru own hormonal system! I would ask your Dr first before you try using Adrenaline to lsoe fat or weight! Because it can have side affects your not aware of! Even Drs are not aware of many of its side affects I learned. If you use it, dont abuse it! Follow instructions on the bottle or from your Dr!
Many naturalpathic Drs recommend taking adreanline for many reasons, but never take more than the bottle dictates. But the best way to get rid of fat and excess weight due to fat is to not ingest fat in your diet in the first place. Lower your intake of things like fatty meats, deli meats, ICE CREAM, yogurt, and other dairy like cheese ; and lower your intake of butter, oils, and foods that have hidden fat in them. Read labels Fat is in many foods your not aware of ... like coconut and chocolate too!
Another thing caffeine can also help a person lose wieght but even it can be detrimental to ones health! Caffeine... its in coffee and chocolate! Your best bet to lose wieght is curb your appetite for fatty foods.
I do know all about Fatty foods.... I crave coconut and the rest on the above list. I been lucky to maintain my weight by incorporating many of the above means. Because after I had injury to my central nervous system and brain I crave a lot of fatty foods. Coconut especially! The fat in coconut .... is used by the body; it uses it to cover the mylein sheaths around the nerves in the central nervous system! The brain also needs fat, so dont eliminate it altogether! Believe it or not the body utilizes fat for many reasons but especially for your nerves!
The best way to stay healthy is to eat a well balanced diet and be lean on the fats! But dont eliminate fat altogether! Fat insulates the nerves! As well as help you make new memories! The brain is 90 percent fat and ten percent water! (Approximately!) As well as your muscles need layers of fat fibers. You do need some fat! But if you do have excess, walking is your best way to get rid of the excesses. Walking stimulates the nerves to throw off the excess fat! Trust me, you cant get rid of it all. But a healthy padding is a good thing. Many times just accepting what you cant change and try changing some ways , in how you think about fat and food can help you make the best choices as to what is best to be lean and think healthy. HOw Spending ones time is a better way to deal with fat than be worried about it! Looking at it with renewed interest can help one slowly get rid of the excesses!
I am just happy to maintain what have and not add to it, but staying healthy is more important that how one gets rid of the excesses of fat! But I will tell you the best way... my secret to maintaining my weight so I dont add Fat to what I already have or stop absorbing any new fat...... I alway take a capsule of Ginger before and after I eat! Ginger... it prevents the body from absorbing fat from fatty foods! All I do is take one capsule before I eat any fatty foods! Its enough to prevent the fat from being absorbed from thsoe foods! Try it, it does work! SLOWLY as you eat. Its the best and the least bitter and does work, slowly! And does not taste wicked! GIbnger snaps work justa s well! I ate those before I had any Christmas Fats and I put the elast on around the holidays. and I ate a lot of fatty foods. Only gained three pounds. I used to put on 15! Try it, you may love to still eat! Susana

I do believe that if there was a magical solution out there for weight loss, the whole world would of caught on by now and there would be no obesity problem in the world.

So, right there you're tacking an extra 114 calories on to each meal. Even if the magic potion somehow worked, I'd doubt it would work well enough to offset the extra 342 calories you'd be drinking each day.
Another example of a hokey-elixir. No turth at all! Avoid!!

3 cups of grapefruit juice is way too much. Most experts think that 1/2 a cup of juice is a serving and that's the maximum amount that one should consume per day. I would think that if you drink that concoction every day, you will be consuming lots of extra sugary calories and you would GAIN weight not lose it.
Icky, I couldn't gag that down. Sounds like a Dr. Oz thing. Even if it did burn fat, literally burn it away, I couldn't gag it down. Gross!

I had seen a few articles that are saying that if you drink vinegar before a meal it will help you burn and breakdown fat more effectively. Is this true and has anyone on here tried it? This is the recipe I found for it.
