You can always check the labels to find something suitable. But I just go straight to the 'health foods' section of the supermarket. There's a freezer there, full of stuff.

Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? They have some good options, and the packaging should tell you if they're truly vegetarian or not. I'm sure there are many, but the ones that stick out to me right now are their frozen burritos, and a pasta dish with spinach and cheese. Mmm!

I don't eat frozen meals very often, but if I do I really like Amy's. They're vegetarian and actually really tasty for a frozen meal. The downside is they can be a little spendy.
Cedar Lane is another good one.

Lean Cuisine has some tasty options. I love the butternut squash ravioli, but with 550 mg of sodium, it has to be an occasional splurge. I've also seen the LightLife line of vegetarian frozen meals. They look good, but I haven't tried them yet.

I agree with other commenters--it's ideal to make your own dishes and freeze them. However, it's all about small steps and what will work for you. While the sodium in the "light" frozen meals isn't great for you, it's certainly better than other lunch options.

Amy's Kitchen is so good! Their products are all organic, vegetarian, and vegan.

Definitely read labels. Better yet, make your own meals in bulk and freeze them yourself. Cheaper, less sodium, unprocessed, and you know what's going into them!

you have to read labels. sometimes even when there is not meat in the main dish, it's cooked in chicken broth or other bits of chicken or beef are used.
amy's has some really great veg options, though there are also meat options in that line.

Can any one tell me which frozen meals (weight watchers, lean cuisine) are vegetarian versions?
