Vanilla Pumpkin Protein Smoothie Recipe
Whenever fall approaches, I get cravings for pumpkin. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin muffins, cakes, pies.... Basically anything sweet & yummy. I decided I was going to forgo the pumpkin lattes this year. I did however buy some All Natural Pumpkin Butter at Whole Foods!
Here is a yummy recipe I created. I'm still playing with the proportions!
6-8 ounces of Almond Milk (or Soy Milk)
1/3 cup ice
1 scoop of Fiber Boost
1 tbsp of ground Flax seeds
1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (want low cal, mine range from 55-110 cals)
1-2 Tbsp of All Natural Pumpkin Butter
Blend ingredients. All set!!
Approx nutritional info (based on the products I use):
18 g Protein
7.5 g fiber
Can further reduce the cals by doing 1/2 Almond milk, 1/2 H20
I've also added some Vanilla FF/SF pudding which makes it delic (just a dollop).
I'm going to look at the nutritional info on canned pumpkin as well - maybe to substitute for pumpkin butter.
