That sounds good! Last fall I made a lot of smoothies with canned pumpkin--if you add a few spices (a little cinnamon, ginger, allspice, or just pumpkin pie spice if you have it) and it tastes just like pumpkin pie. I think there are recipes for different versions of it on Sparkrecipes.

Thanks for reminding me of these. I think I'll try it with the almond milk you used :)

Vanilla Pumpkin Protein Smoothie Recipe

Whenever fall approaches, I get cravings for pumpkin. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin muffins, cakes, pies.... Basically anything sweet & yummy. I decided I was going to forgo the pumpkin lattes this year. I did however buy some All Natural Pumpkin Butter at Whole Foods!

Here is a yummy recipe I created. I'm still playing with the proportions!

6-8 ounces of Almond Milk (or Soy Milk)
1/3 cup ice
1 scoop of Fiber Boost
1 tbsp of ground Flax seeds
1 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (want low cal, mine range from 55-110 cals)
1-2 Tbsp of All Natural Pumpkin Butter

Blend ingredients. All set!!

Approx nutritional info (based on the products I use):
145cals
14g carbs
18 g Protein
7.5 g fiber
no fat

Can further reduce the cals by doing 1/2 Almond milk, 1/2 H20

I've also added some Vanilla FF/SF pudding which makes it delic (just a dollop).

I'm going to look at the nutritional info on canned pumpkin as well - maybe to substitute for pumpkin butter.
