haha! My husband works at a police station and I'm hiring kids from my son's youth group as a fundraiser to show up at his job dressed as cupid and sing him a song lol I'm going to meet them there and video tape it. It should be pretty funny ~ the police officers will razz him forever lol

2nd Valentine's Day for me and my guy! We are taking a trip up to Salem, MA and hitting up their ice sculpture and chocolate festival for the first time.

We both have the Thursday and Friday off as this is our first Valentines together.

I'm doing a full on 3 course meal for him (I love cooking), we never do starters or desserts so making it special.

Starter: Scallops, black pudding, minted pea puree with sweet potato crisps.
Main: Steak, home made chips, peas, fried eggs with a mushroom and onion creamy mustard sauce - this is hands down our favourite meal.
Dessert: Lemon Cheesecake.

All washed down with some champers and rose wine :D

I will NOT be counting any calories that day, however I will poss try to 'save' a few calories through the week. I hope to lose another 2kg by then as well!

Maybe buy a new matching set as a treat ;)

I will decorate the table and have lots of candles out (my best friend bought me 'I LOVE YOU' candles last year as a joke).

I'm very excited (as you may be able to tell). I'm actually drafting a blog post on it too...

We're having a Valentine party for the kids with our homeschool group, but doubt my husband and I do anything to celebrate since we have no family nearby to watch the kids.

whether I want to or not, I got a letter to report to the hospital for a mammogram on the 14th.
Nice way to spend your Valentine's Day? Not really, but better to be pro-active and keep the appointment.

Going out to dinner, and maybe something else after, who knows? Just being together is a celebration.

DH and I will be celebrating our 24th Valentine's Day together and this year we've decided, that although we can never seem to find the time or money to go out, we are going on an official date. Our kids are still at home, but old enough to be alone for an evening, so we're going dancing at a fun club in Ottawa about an hour away on the Saturday night (16th). We're both really stoked about it and the fun of planning what to wear and all the anticipation of it is half the fun!

My husband takes Valentine's Day off almost every year but this is one he can't. The boss over him is a newlywed and requested it first. If he really wanted it off he could, hubby just likes to be there if the other boss is not which I find respectful, so I respect his decision. Anyhow he is taking a 4 day weekend off the week before. I think we will head out to Monterey for one day, and one of those days I want to get out grandson and spend the day with him, maybe take him to the zoo if weather permits. He comes home for lunch everyday so I will get to see him on Valentine's day for lunch so I will make that extra special then he will be home by 5 p.m ,so we still have plenty of time to celebrate.
