I've never heard of this before, but it sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the info!

The group was called veggie lovers. I've been vegetarian 3 years now and don't really miss it at all.

I figure if even ONE meal is vegan/vegetarian, then you've made a step forward to help the planet, so it's great to hear you are looking to try new things.

I heard about VB6 too. There is a book about it. SP has a vegetarian and vegan group but I;m new and don't remember the exact name. I made a spark page, so check with me there and I'll try to post it tomorrow. There is also one on planteaters that you might like, uhm, better.

Some vegans object to this book, as they don't think of their lifestyle as a diet, but a moral choice.

My family eats many vegan meals each week, I eat mostly vegan and think the VB6 is a great way to ease into plant-based eating. Mark Bittman lost a fair bit of weight himself on VB6.

I'm vegan all the time, but still I think this a great idea for folks who are attracted to plant-based eating but don't want to commit to it 100%. I know some people who eat this way and have had great results!

I've never heard of this one, but I know about the RT4, Raw Till 4. ;o I might get on this vegan one, though.

Thanks, I will keep looking. When I did a search for VB6 I came up with discussions that were inactive - for over a year. I thought I was searching all forums, but maybe not.

Keep looking-- there was a thread about it either on this forum or on the Diet and Nutrition forum that was active just last week. It should be either about 4 pages back in this list or 2-3 pages back on the Nutrition list. (You can try searching on VB6 or on Bitmann, too, but the search function here misses a lot of stuff.)

Hello, 2MONKEYCOCONUT !

I am not a vegan. However, I remember reading that Mark Bitmann (NYTs food critic) was an advocate for vegan before six eating. You might want to check out this article if you're interested.

Have you looked into any of the vegan spark teams ? You might ask here.

I've been looking, but can't find any recent discussions or any teams about VB6 (Vegan before 6) I am interested in this "lifestyle" and would love some support, discussions, ideas. Thanks for your help!! emoticon
