I have a copy of Jean Nidetch's (the founder of Weight Watchers) memoir written in 1970.
In the 60's using mineral oil (practically liquid vaseline) as a salad dressing base was considered a good calorie saving ploy. Ugh!!!

A book I do consider to be inspiring is "Younger Next Year" by Chris Crowley and Henry Lodge, MD.
Especially for oldsters.

With good nutrition and plenty of exercise we can all be incredibly vibrant well into old age.

I love any kind of autobiography about someone losing weight. I have a bunch in my collection.
