A lb a week is a great goal. If you want to eat more calories, maybe make it 1/2 a lb a week.
You aren't going to stall weight loss by eating less, that is a myth. Set up your goals, and calories burned, and SP will give you a range. After that, just follow the plan. Burn the calories you said you do, eat in the range provided, and hopefully lose steadily.
The lowest range SP will provide is 1200-1500 I believe, so why not average 1350 a day. Everyone seems to focus on 1200. You could eat 1450 one day, and 1250 the next. Use the entire range, not just one end.

One question about that: I don't know what my goal should be. I am 141 lbs, have 16 lbs to lose and would like to lose a pound a week, but I don't know if that's realistic. I don't want to eat too little and not lose, but I also don't want to lose more slowly than I need to. What kind of loss per week goal should I be shooting for?

If you go to your Start page, down the left side you'll see My Goals and Progress. Make sure your weight loss goal and calories burned goal are correct, and based on that info, you'll get a recommended calorie range to help you reach your goals.
Hope that helps,

I'm confused and need help figuring out how many calories I need to be eating per day in order to lose weight. I've tried a few different calculations and have come up with variances of over 130 calories per day. Can anyone help me figure this out? Here is my info:
