I'm sorry for your stress. Have you thought about asking your other family if you can live with them? What about seeing if you qualify to get help from the government? There is always a way out, you just have to do the leg work! I hope it works out!

That's exactly how i feel. It's gotten worse since i moved in with my sister all her and her family eat is fast food, canned pastas and frozen pizza. I get tempted to eat it and sometimes i do and i regret it and don't lose any weight. I lost like 5 lbs in the last month and i've gained most of it back. It's hard to stay on track when everyone else in the house eats junk. Help! emoticon

I understand you, neither my family or friends are supportive and they often offer fatty foods and never try to help me make or maintain goals. You have to use Sparkpeople as a way to gain support in your journey. You are alone in real life but are never alone here!! Keep us posted!!

Can you take some steps to get out more, and make some new friends? Find some fun activities to try, or do some volunteer work. Are there any activities you can do with your child that you will meet other moms? Is there any chance of reconnecting with your old friends if you called them and tried to plan something together? I don't know how sick your boyfriend is, but can you go over to his house more and spend time with him - he would probably really appreciate that.

Hello Jennifer!
You sound like you have an awful lot on your plate! But don't give up- SP is the perfect place to find supportive friends to help keep you motivated! I have over 100lbs to lose, and I've been on SP for barely a week, and I'm already feeling the encouragement and love from the friends I've made. It really helps to keep me going!

All of my family lives out of state, and my mother and I are estranged, so I completely understand not having family support. My wife is very supportive and trying to help me as much as she can, but she has severe fibromyalgia and just can't do a whole lot of physical activity, so most of what I do to improve my weight and lifestyle, I do on my own.

You can message me anytime you need a pick me up, my dear! We're all in this together, and remember: emoticon

Hi there,
Wow! You sound really over whelmed. Have you thought about doing simple things to help get control of your life? Maybe when you are feeling stressed or bored, go for a walk. If you are a person who parks by the front door of a store park further away. You can also do things like drinking 8 glasses of water to help flush out your system and make you feel better.
Things that I have found that helped me are things like: I can do this, I am strong, I will prove them wrong.... Don't give up, ever! You can do this.. even if it's one small step at a time. If you want a spark buddy to keep you motivated use the spark mail and send me an email! I hope that by making small changes you will feel empowered and in control of your own life.

Amy

My name is Jennifer. I have been gaining weight for about 6 years now. My son is 6 and i was at a size 3 before and i'm a size 10/11 now. I wish so bad to get back into a size 3 pair of pants even a size 5 would make me happy. My family has never been supportive. I'm like the black sheep of my family they all have houses, families and money. I haven't worked in more than 5 years and have been unable to find work. I feel like my self esteem gets worse by the day. I am a stress eater and i am stressed a lot. I am also a bored eater so without a job i get bored a lot. I have gained 30 lbs in the last 5 years. I used to be a 115 lbs and now I am almost 150. I need support to help me with this weight loss or i am afraid i may never get my weight off. I had a lot of friends back in high school and now that we all have kids and all my friends have husbands(Im not married), we all live separate lives and i don't talk to them anymore and they don't bother to call me either. My boyfriend has health problems and spends a lot of time at home and since we don't live together we don't see each other much so he is really not there for me either.
