My goals have been 10 lbs a month. That will get me under 200 by the first of August

My new weekly goal is to stay in my ww points every day. And of course I'm keeping my goal to strength train regularly.

HatePuter- Just make sure that you set a goal that is achievable, so that it doesn't discourage you! I know its great to lose fast, but remember its actually better to lose slow. I'm losing 3 lbs a week or more right now, but i assume it will slow down to like 2 lbs a week after a few more weeks. My goal is actually 2.5 lbs a week, so right now I'm super happy because I'm surpassing my weekly goal! It'll just make it better later when it slows down, bc I know I'll still meet 199 by August because I lost more in the beginning. Just make your goals challenging, but not TOO challenging; achievable but not TOO easy.
And it is GREAT to finally let go of the hate. I feel so much better :).

WOW, you are all doing so good. It makes me want to call my aunt back. Last night we were talking and I told her how I want to be around 210 by 4th of July. She said 10lbs a month was a VERY aggressive goal. I think when you have 100lbs still to lose, it's not. So seeing what you guys are posting, I'm excited again.
LJ- doesn't it feel great to let go of the hate? In only 7 months? Great Job

Today was a great day for me. I still have 5 ww points left for the day, which is okay, and I'm not going to eat them! I weigh in tomorrow and I'm really excited! This week has gone pretty good! I'm happy to report that I actually got my strength training in tonight, which was my weekly goal this week and tonight is the first night I actually did it. So tomorrow, I'm gonna keep it as my goal but then add something else, also. I played tennis tonight for the first time since last summer. Last summer I played for a couple months and then my knee started acting up so I had to quit. My knee rarely bothers me anymore, so hopefully tennis will not make it start up again!
Apparently my ex was at the tennis courts tonight, which is who I used to play with. We dated for 3 and a half years and then he cheated on me, so it was hard. But it's been over 7 months and the other day I actually got in his line at the video store and it wasn't awkward at all... So I guess the animosity is somewhat gone. I wouldn't ever give him another chance, but I guess theres no use being hateful when it just stresses me out. Might as well just be mature and be friendly when I have to see him- but nothing more. But my friend said he was there on the bench watching us play. Kinda weird.. lol. But whatever.

TOPS- I'm excited to hear what the TOPS scale said tonight! Let us know! :)

IVY- I totally agree with you. I think we have a great group going so far! I'm excited to lose with you guys! And I know if I don't lose, I'll have yall's support, as everyone will have mine!! I know you can retrain your body, it will just take time. You can do it!

HATEPUTER- I'm glad that your friend could motivate you when you were thinking about losing hope. Everyone messes up from time to time, I know I've eaten way more than that many calories in one sitting. I used to eat whole large pizza's at one time by myself... and breadsticks. Sometimes it is better to just hide the scale for awhile and rely on how you feel and how your clothes fit. And those are great goals to work towards! I would love to ride a roller coaster this summer! I haven't in years because I was once too big for one and it embarrassed me so bad I haven't ever tried again. And thats alot to miss out on- I love roller coasters!! I also have a vacation to get ready for- going to Gulf Shores maybe in August. So I need to be beach ready! We can do this together!

LAING- That's a good goal! Good luck!

DAINS- I'm so excited that you lost this week! Great job!! The lbs dropping off is very motivating!

JKING- Sparkpeople is so great. I used to get on it all the time and then quit signing on and I really can't beleive how much it has helped me since I started back. Good luck to you and your husband!

I hope everyone is doing well! As for me i'm still trying to learn how to use this site so I can benefit fully from everything it has to offer. I seems like I only have about five minutes to do anything when I get on. My husband is coming home from training soon and we are changing a lot of our habits before he gets deployed. He wants to bulk up and I want to lose weight lol. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks HatePuter. I've never owned a scale, and probably never will. I always judge by how I feel and look and how my health is. I weigh in on my WII Fit when I do it.

PS..I FINALLY have my other page up and running with my blog. If you followed it from my past post, please disregard as it's now here... www.wix.com/dmmarcellus/journey Thank you to those that are checking it out & be sure to leave a message if you do :)

So liberating to get up today and NOT get on the scale. As curious as I am, even if it said I had lost 3lbs I wouldn't think it was enough, so I am so glad it's gone!!! I have two weeks now to try and accept whatever it says when I do get on it.
Great Job Dains!!! And thanks!!
Laingmom- I feel your pain. I was raised you ALWAYS clean your plate. My husband has asked me several times if I'm full why I keep eating. I can't even tell you how many times I've finished his plate because he ALWAYS leaves something on it. So my biggest success was last night. For the first time EVER I did not finish my dinner. I did continue to eat after I was full, but I stopped before my plate was empty. I even had enough fish and vegis to put in a container for lunch today (if I add a salad). So how you ask???
I have just started watching Dr. Oz and he had something on last week for us night time munchers. I do good all day, eat every few hours, then after dinner I can't seem to stop eating, even after stuffing myself and having 40% of my calories at dinner. He suggested Glucomannan. I take a 1/2 teaspoon in 8oz of water a half hour before dinner. I've been doing this for days, so it is also a mindset. BUT, now that I have done it once, I know I can do it again. I picked it up at a health food store for like 12.00, and it is going to last a long time. Hope this helps.

Laing - That's a good goal. I used to over eat and know how hard it can be, but you can do it!

HatePuter - I'm glad you're stronger today. We all have those days where we completely blow it and wonder why we are even trying anymore, but stay strong. You've got a TON of support & can do this. We are here to support and help you achieve your goal :) PS...GREAT Job on the weightloss already!!

My none scale goal this week is to stop eating before I am stuffed. I have managed to stay in my calorie goals by focusing on eating lots more veggies, but I still find that even though I am no longer hungry, I am still eating til I am stuffed. Gotta stop that.

Thank you Ivy. You are right, and I am stronger today. Except when it comes to the scale so I am having my husband hide it for me. No weigh in for two weeks. As for the rest, well, my calories were 3500 yesterday, so I am staying on the low end of my ranges for a day or two. I did a 2.5 mile walk in the WIND and rain this morning, and just did a grueling lower body workout for 45 minutes. The rain has stopped, and only wind now, so I am getting ready to go walk some more. Thank you again.

Omg...look at how far you have come!! You are inspiration for those of us that are just beginning. My journey is still in its first month. Everyone gives up some days, but you just get right back on that scale and begin again. One day will not kill you, it will make you stronger.

so yesterday i let the scale beat me and went on a total binge. I haven't even put in all the calories I ate (going to have to estimate because I didn't measure anything) but I'm sure it is going to be over 3000. I totally gave up. I have a friend on here that I promised I would not leave hanging, so I was coming on to let her know I was giving up. Before I could do that, i saw she had posted a blog about the scale, so first thing I did was read that. She actually mentioned me in the blog, and how far I've come. Talk about feeling guilty!! But it motivated me again.
I'm sharing in hopes that everyone on here will find a spark buddy. Someone you talk to almost everyday. You keep each other honest and on track. You're there for each other when you feel like giving up. THAT is what this site is really all about.
SO, I still have those roller coasters to get on in October, and I still want to take that trip to the San Juan Islands in July, so here we go!!!

This feels like a good group of people. I hope that I can succeed and surpass my goal. I often have trouble eating all the calories that I am supposed to in each day. I am a gross undereater. Its hard to retrain myself because I do not always feel hungry when I should be...such as mornings.

My weigh in day is Friday.

Dains-Those are great non scale goals! I will def be trying to keep up with your blog.

Ivybutterfly- Welcome! It's never too late to join this challenge, just jump right on in!

Naynayseduction- Nice to have you, girl! Haha, something weird. I nicknamed my best friend's boyfriend Nay Nay; his name is Nathan. Is Nay Nay your nickname?

JKing- Well we would love for you to join us! Welcome!

Laingmom- You can do it!! I know life is stressful, but stick with us and we'll help you out! 3.1 lbs is great! Good job!

I'm so excited to see all these new faces today! Everyone start thinking about your non scale goals for this week! And remember, we weigh in once a week and you can choose your weigh in day! If anyone ever has any ideas for little things to do, like challenges and whatnot, feel free to message me!!

Today, I did very well and stayed in my WW points. I even got a short workout in after work (I get off at 10:30 so sometimes its hard!) Only thing I needed to improve on today was that I didn't strength train!! :(

I wanna join! I had gotten done to 215 last February, but then being a single mom and returning to college kicked my butt and last Sunday I was back up to 249.6. Not as high as I had been, but still..... it was time to start again. On the first week I lost 3.1 pounds. So excited to be going down. I don't remember being under 200 since high school, so this should be fun. Thanks for suggesting it!

I like that idea.

My non-scale goal this week is to beat my sugar cravings & keep blogging my way to success! I did very well last week, but this about the time I start to fall off track and want sugar. I didn't blog on the weekend, but I will catch up with it today. It's much easier to blog for me during the week because I work on a computer all day. I've found it to be really helpful last week with keeping me accountable for everything.

Thanks Dains! Great job getting some swimming done even the the pool was pretty packed!
And Great job losing this week, Michele!

How bout we start coming up with non scale goals every week that we'd like to achieve/improve on.

My non scale goal for this week is to get my strength training in every night I go to the gym! I tend to skip strength training alot, but I know I'm gonna regret that in the end, since I have so much weight to lose, I don't want to be saggy!

Char, no need to be scared. We are all in the same boat here, and being here is exactly what you need to do. This is not a place that people are going to sit back and judge you. This is a place that we all help each other, and when we fall down, there are others to lend a hand, and offer suggestions on ways to stay on track. Please, please. please, stick around.

So yesterday was day one of me not smoking!! I made it. Yippee. Got in six and a half miles walking, and cleaned out my hall closet (that took about 3 hours) Stayed within all my nutritional ranges (yeah me). Since weekends are so hard for me nutritionally, today I am planning on inputting my meals for the entire weekend. Hopefully I can then stick to it. :) Today is gym day, so I'll be busting my butt for an hour on the weights, and hoping to get in at least 3 miles today to hit my 25 for the week, so anything tomorrow is above my goal.

Alright everybody, how are we doin?!

Yesterday was a good day for me. First time I've went UNDER my ww points in a while, so im happy! I had 2 left over. I didn't get any strenuous exercise in because I closed last night and had to open this morning, so didn't really get a chance. I did get a short walk in yesterday morning before I went to Ash Wednesday mass tho, so that counts for something!!

Today, I've done good. I'm on my period tho so I've been craving chocolate and its killing me! I had half a king sized kit kat bar earlier and put the rest up for later. So now I only have 8 points left for dinner, so I guess I'll have to find something small and add an apple or something. I'm working out tonight!

I'll be weighing in the morning, so I'll make sure to get on here and record it! I'm kinda nervous since I'm on the rag that I'll be bloated and wont lose good, but hopefully not!

Welcome HATEPUTER and CBONCHUK!

HATEPUTER- Well I know just how you feel! Well, I've lost 80 and its been on and off for a couple of years. I want to be able to lost the rest pretty consistently.

CBON-We will do our best to keep you accountable, if you do the same for us! Lets do it!

Ok, lets have everyone weight in once a week. You can pick your own day but make it the same day every week! Mine will be Friday. Try to get on most days and talk about how you think you did, post your exercise minutes and what you did! Write about what goals you are wanting to achieve other than the numbers on the scale.

We are all here to motivate everyone and be there for each other!

I'm in. I lost my first 50 pretty quickly, then kind of fell off the wagon. Trying to get back on track. When I set my goals a month ago it was to be under 200 by July. I'd still like that to happen, but I am now a month behind. Don't care if July or August though, I haven't been in ONEderland in over 20 years
So should we all weigh in weekly? Post our fitness activities daily?. What should we do to help motivate each other?
