I heard that BOUNCE fabric softener sheets repel mosquitos... I wonder if it repels flies and if other fabric softener sheets do as well.

Here is a tip for pesky flies:
Put some vinegar into a pot with some water - about 50/50. Put it on the stove and bring to the boil, then turn it down so it is a slow simmer (lid off) - the flies HATE it. My brother didn't believe me when he was plagued with them, so I showed him. It was funny watching the ceiling get quite black and gradually ease over toward the open door. In no time al all, the house had no flies ........... didn't have many people, either because it stunk of vinegar ......... but the flies were gone :-)

There is a very pesky fly buzzing around my room right now, and since my computer is the only source of light in the room, it is attacking my computer. I don't have a flyswatter and I don't feel like choking on bug spray today, so I guess I am stuck with it. Just thought I would share my annoyance.
Anyway, have a great day and thanks for reading my rant.
