You did NOT derail any of your efforts at long term good health or weight loss because you haven't been able to exercise. Taking time off because of the flu IS a legitimate reason you could not exercise. Not exercising during this period does not make you a slacker. When we're sick, we have to take time off to recover. trying to exercise when we're ill just puts us at a higher risk for staying sick longer. So, don't beat yourself up.
Do what you did when you started in January. Start with some simple changes to slowly ease back into that routine you were creating for yourself. Try to drink more water. that will help you flush your system. Try to get some regular exercise even if it's as simple as taking a daily walk. Try to eat more fresh fruit and veggies. This is what I've learned from my own years of yo yo dieting. If you eat crap, you'll feel like crap.
Don't worry, you're doing just fine ! Try to eat more healthfully, with time you'll start feeling like you're in a better place.
Some fruits and veggies can hydrate you just as well as water, skip White and wheat bread and eat a toasted slice of thinly sliced rye to help keep you full. Eat high water foods, cucumber, radiches, Romaine, watercress, spinach, cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini, radishes, red or green peppers, etc.
Eat only berries as they have the least impact on blood glucose for a couple of weeks....Maybe with puffed rice as it has no sugar or sodium in it.
Everything a person eats turns to sugar except for protein, so up your protein...2 to 3 servings of lean protein each day is healthy. A turkey sandwich with low fat cheese, (Bordens Fat Free might be good) tomato on Rye and lettuce can be an excellent lunch.
'Always keep "All Whites" egg whites on hand...you can have a full cup scrambled with some green peppers and diced onions for less than 125 calories or with slice mushrooms....One cup of portabella mushrooms has about 19 calories I find the "All Whites" fluffier. Make a portabella mushroom pizza or portabella burger.
Snack ...a frozen sugar-free fruit bar or a no sugar added fudgesicle, 3 cups of air popped popcorn....1/2 cup Cottage Cheese and a handful of Matchstick carrots, flaxseeds around 75 calories.
Move every 20 minutes and get up and do something....it helps tremendously.

I know, so many excuses. I am so frustrated with myself. I have wasted 3 weeks now of complete crap. The scale doesnt say ive gained but I feel like complete mush and waste inside...."
O.K. WHY do you think that you wasted THREE WEEKS! The flu got you good and proper, and in spite of what you may think, it you don't get over it that quickly - your body still needs time to recuperate properly. You had been on the go in other ways so something has to give.
The next thing is this, why on EARTH would you be beating yourself up??? You have LOST 27lb - it took me 8 MONTHS to lose a little less than that! You should be CELEBRATING that you are succeeding. I know you want to lose 'x' amount of weight for a wedding , but that is where you are going wrong. You will be looking tons better already, and anything more that you lose between now and then will be a bonus. Others will notice your loss, and your body will be thanking you for it - in your BP, your bloods and various other things that you may not even think of.
Remember to start out with your exercise regime again with baby steps - don't rush in to where you left off!
If you've lost 27 pounds, you can DEFINITELY get your head back on and get back in the game, esp with a good date like June to complete your goal by. :) Just keep trucking, get back in the gym, and start food tracking tomorrow. If you must, get up early so you can get your workout over with in the morning and won't put it off and end up not doing it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
What is the routine that you are trying to get back on? Is it food tracking, is it exercise?
What is it that you are doing instead? Are you eating stuff you shouldn't be eating? Are you skipping exercise?

The past is the past...what is done is done. But remember you are in control of today and all the tomorrows yet to come. Maybe by starting out with a shorter workout schedule for the next few days (remember something always trumps nothing) and see if that gets you back into the game. You can do this!
UGH - I started my new lifestyle on Jan 4th, as of date I have lost 27lbs!!! Well 3 weeks ago I got the stomach flu really bad so I didnt exercise for a week (it was a BAD flu) - then the last 2 weeks life has honestly been so so busy that the time I finally get to rest its bed time. I know, so many excuses. I am so frustrated with myself. I have wasted 3 weeks now of complete crap. The scale doesnt say ive gained but I feel like complete mush and waste inside (physically). I keep saying Im going to get my head back on straight but for some reason am lacking my drive. I have 17lbs to go until my goal weight to be in a wedding by June 20th. Think that's do-able? Usually im cheering others on but cant seem to get myself back on board, HELP!
