I tried Jillian Micheal's 30 day shred 3 months ago and failed miserably after my first day. I was so sore, I couldn't fully extend my arms for 4 days!! So I vowed I would get stronger by doing more strength training and try it again in 3 months. I'm on my 5th day and still going strong! I only experienced DOMS for the first 24 hours after my first day but haven't been sore since. I also decided to pick up another one of her 55 minute videos yesterday and blasted my way through that one. I'm feeling so accomplished and STRONG! Yah!!
I've also reached 120 lbs! 10 lbs left! And I've lost nearly 40 lbs now.
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
