Thank you everyone for words of encouragement. I really do appreciate all of you. Today was a hard day as I worked twelve hours with feeling like I didn't have time to eat. I made myself a shake for breakfast which consists of blueberries, nectarines, spinach, activia yogurt, carrots and a little bit of milk. I am not a breakfast person so this was a big change for me. This is a step towards the right direction. Thanks again to all of you for your support. I know it's going to be a long and hard road but it will all be worth it in the end. I was not able to set aside time to exercise so I chose the stairs instead of the elevator for a change. I can do this...

WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.
A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.
2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Welcome to Spark. You have taken the first step on your journey by joining! I've been a member a little more than two years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained 30 back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. The sense of community and the friendships I have made here keep me going! Explore the site, make your Sparkpage, join teams, and make friends. I am a mother of 7 children. My husband is in dental school and I am working full time. My children range from 16 yrs old down to age 2. I have lost weight before many times and have gained it back. It's been a tough challange especially with my busy schedule. I want to loose weight but don't have the motivation and decipline to do it as of right now. I keep putting off starting, telling myself I will start the beginning of the week or the month or the year. I need to get going. I've been a member of sparkpeople for quite sometime and never used it until today. I want to live a long and healthy life for my kids and husband. Need help, motivation and decipline to start.
