I'm another person who lost 75 pounds and gained back another 90. I was filled with self-loathing for it, but I think that the "fear of the unknown" had a lot to do with it. This time around I've lost about 70, regained a few, and have been holding steady for a long time. I'm not where I want to be, but my body is resisting being pushed lower, so I'm concentrating on my fitness and waiting to adjust enough to make the next push downward.
Welcome; there is a lot of support to be found here! Definitely check out Spark Teams and find a team or two that suits your needs. Search on your interests and you will almost certainly find a group of people who are enthusiastic about what you love!
Little Miss Ladybug... back . I can relate.. in 2009 I had lost 75 pounds and for reasons ( maybe fear of unknown ) not sure but I lapsed and I regained almost all of it back .
Here are some thing I am learning every day.. Forgiving your self to move forward. The past is over and done.. we can not change it.. but I can change what I do today. The small choices I make everyday in the right direction will get me there ..
Do you belong to any Spark Teams ? that is a great way to meet some others like you and find support and sometimes the kick in the pants you need. I will be checking on you .. but please make a few smart better choices today and add more every day or week .. set some goals and work for them...
Wishing you the best on this journey.
~ It is my life to take back..I'm not waiting one more day.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals. - Goethe
Almost 2 yrs ago I had lost 60lbs since then life as we know throws us a lot of curve balls to test are strengths and weakness. Needless to say I have failed. I have gain just about all back and try every day to convince my self I need to walk again like I had before. I do have hypertension and when I had lost the weight I was down on my pills, I am angry at myself for letting myself get here. I am so out of control eating things that I had not eaten for almost 2 yrs. I am hoping that there is someone out there who can relate with me. I have been a member of SparkPeople for almost 3 yrs. It is a great sight.
