This is a sad story but you are getting great advice.
You can only ask your friend to buy what you like and they can only say no. Try it.

Hi Sister ! I am diabetic & my hubby eats about a box of Entenmanns chocolate covered donuts & ice cream throughout the day. It's all I can do to get him to eat anything healthy. He is having mental decline with aging due in part, to his poor diet. I know that he's 77 buti teems that he wants to die, although he denies that. He tells me " Don't worry be happy". I'm bracing for being a young widow.

Yes, I agree with Cyndi-Small portions and ask the friend if they can buy some fruits and veggies. Also adding some exercises to your new lifestyle, there are some wonderful exercises here including how to do them
If you do not have money to buy your own food I guess you need to make the best of the situation. Try to eat small portions. Do you think your friend would be offended if you ask them to purchase some fruits and veggies?

Right now I am living with someone else while I search for a job and find my own place. This person is paying for the food and everything else, since at this time I do not have the money. My friend doesn't live a healthy life style and rarely has vegetables and fruit in the house. I was wondering how can I have a healthy life style while I am here?
