I do the same as others mentioned and drink from a Nalgene-like bottle. Mine is 1L so I aim for a minimum of 2 per day.

I just fill up the bottle I need to drink and put in the fridge ready. Very easy then!

To start the day off, I try to drink two cups of water first thing in the morning. Then when I get to work, two more cups and include it with my meals. I find that works best.

I usually have litres of water in the fridge, so I know how many of them I've finished.
I just refill them after they are empty, so they are ready for the next day.

A good trick I picked up somewhere to keep track of water intake throughout the day Is to take 8 elastic bands and put them around your daily glass or cup that you use for you water intake and every time you drink a glass, take an elastic off the glass and put it around your wrist. That way you will be sure to drink your 8 glasses.
