Probably because the bouncy trampoline does most of the work of throwing you into the air. Jump rope for 40 minutes (even 10 minutes) and you will see and feel the difference in the amount of work required of your body.
Jumping on a trampoline for 40 minutes only burns 200 calories. Does that sound right? I figured jumping on a trampoline would burn more calories than that...wondering why it doesn't.
