If you walk outside, you can use the fitness map to track. Trace your route, tell it how long it took you, and it will estimate an average mph and caloric burn.

A pedometer will count your steps, and Omron is about the best. I'm not sure exactly what you want to track......you can use the 'map my route' feature which will figure everything out for you and pop it right into the fitness tracker It is very user-friendly and.
There are several free ssites that also map out your route...I prefer RunKeeper.......it gives you your speed as well as the elevation.

I was wondering how to keep track of how much I walk---since in the Cardio section in Sparkpeople it just goes by mintute/mile (or km)?
Do I have to get a pedometer or some other device---or is there another way of knowing?
Since I will be changing jobs next week (I will be sitting instead of standing and walking a lot---I want to start walking at a good pace for a half hour, five days a week----I have no idea how I would put that down in the Cardio section here).
