We need better labeling. We eat almost 200 lbs of sugar a year each.

Buying foods by single ingredients helps some. If you have an ingredient that is unpronounceable, good chance it is sugar. It takes more work, but by combining whole foods to make the dish, instead of buying the processed version will cut down on both salt and sugar intake, but you still won't be able to track it all. It's why America is fat, while thinking they are eating healthy.

Technically you could track it, but the number that's reported on a food label really doesn't mean much. Here's why:

Hmmm. You would think that it would be one you can track because it is on nutritional labels. That is disappointing.

There are a ton of posts on this message board dealing with just this topic. I hate to tell you there is no good way. Sugar is in just about everything and therefore impossible to track. I would just cut down or cut out processed food.

Is there a way to track sugar? I would really like to know how much I am getting everyday but I am not sure how to add it as something being tracked. Thanks.
