The steps tracker does not count calories burned. If you were logging it as mileage and as a cardio entry, that would be double-counting. But it sounds fine the way you're doing it.

I wear a pedometer and log my steps on the step tracker. I also work out on a treadmill with my pedometer on twice a week. Should I be subtracting the treadmill steps from my step tracker if I record my treadmill steps under my exercises?
