Tho it is time consuming and takes some dedicated effort to do, I track everything. The night before I make a lunch, snack and meal plans for breakfast and dinner. And track them. Helps me stay on track to have a plan and then execute it. If I'm close on calories, I know it in advance, and that helps me not to stray. Our whole family is enjoying and eating the healthier, more flavorful food that we have been using. Yeah Tracker!!

two words... "POST ITS" Each meal, write down what you have eaten or what you will eat on a sticky. Then at the end of the day, take your stickies to the computer and log them into your SparkPeople.
Plan your meals ahead of time. Every night, right after dinner, sit down and take five or ten minutes to plan out what you're going to have the next day. It will help with your weight loss because it's far easier to resist temptation if you've already made a decision, and especially if you made that decision when you weren't hungry. It will also save you at least 20% on your grocery bill by helping you use up what you've already bought. (Some people actually waste over 50% of what they buy!)
If you can't run to the computer to log your foods in each time, try writing them down, that may help. Then at the end of the day you can log everything in. The other thing, be sure to use favorites, saves a lot of trouble looking up the same things over and over. Good luck!!

I have the hardest time remembering to track my food. I try...and will keep trying...but often, I look back and see that I forgot to put in "lunch" and by then, I don't remember what I ate that day...and I have a hard time remembering to run the reports. I know these tools are well designed and are there for my benefit, but I know I am not making the most of them. Any tips?
