Most cardio exercises burn 100 calories per 10-15 min. Most resistance exercises burn 20 cals per 20 min. That's a rough estimate as it varies according to intensity, weight resistance and your personal weight.

He's referring to a heart rate monitor. Here's a link that provides more info about them:

I don't know how good it tracks but I use a heart monitor to track daily calorie burn. I know that you can't use it for some things but it seem ok for cardio

Hi Kacey

It would only work for videos on our site. You'll probably just have to find something similar in our database to track these kinds of workouts. For a video like you mentioned below, I would track it as low impact aerobics.

Hope that helps,

Thank you Coach Jen. Does that work for videos on You Tube too? Or is there a way to calculate calories burned when they combine strength and cardio in the same workout. This is the video I am referring to:
Chair Workout I + II (seated cardio, strength, fat burning low impact exercise) - 37 minutes

If you go to the page where you view the video, right under that box is a button to track calories burned.

Hope that helps,

I do two Spark Videos and can't find them on the calories burned list. How do I figure how many calories I've burned per minute for the ones not on that list

The are:Seated Abs Core workout 12 minutes, And the Chair Workout I + II (seated cardio, strength, fat burning low impact exercise) - 37 minutes
How do I find/calculate calories butned for workouts or exercises not on the Calories Burned list? TIA
