Mud on!!

Nothing like getting down and dirty

I did it last year and loved it. The only "training" I did was add distance to my running and I was fine.

I've know several people who've done it. My cousin and his brother in law did it in San Diego area. And several of my running friends have done. Two of my sisters are doing it this year. Personally, I don't care to get dirty or electrocuted when I run.

How about the zombie runs? I got a group of friends and neighbors to do it all together as a group.

We have a very similar race here in Ottawa Canada called the Spartan Race which comes complete with mud, slime, obstacles and electricity

i was just reading an article in womens health magazine about the risks of these races, they sure do sound like fun, just ask a few questions about the safety of the course, the article sure made me think twice about the safety of them. I probably would anyway lol but, just so your aware, there are some serious risks involved.

and if you do it, have fun! but dont end up paralyzed. :)

some days even my rocket ship undies dont work.

I have never heard of this event. Sounds like fun, though. I probably won't ever be a participant in a Tough Mudder, but here's a thumbs-up for you and your efforts!

I would love to do this someday. But I have a hard enough time running when it's completely dry out, I can't imagine how I'd fare in the mud.

Haha. Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile, hardcore, obstacle course.

My fiance was talking about maybe doing it next year and it really got me to thinking. I'd love to be able to do it as well. So maybe I could use it as my motivation?

I was wondering if anyone else on here had plans on training for 2014?
Already training for THIS year's Tough Mudder?
Done one in the past?
WANT to do one but are kind of afraid of it?

I wonder if there are teams out there to help with training for it and getting into shape. Hmm. I think I'll have to investigate!
